CAN Council’s Baby Academy presented by Women of Colors offers a variety of helpful child-rearing resources all in one place. Participants will be able to visit booths offering services or selling products for children and families. Participants also can attend two educational breakout sessions. During these sessions, parents and family members will gain valuable insight on parenting topics and how to be the best parent or caregiver possible. Upon registration, participants will be entered to win wonderful prizes related to raising a child!
On a first-come, first-served basis, participants will select from several breakout session options upon arrival, topics include:
- Safe Sleep – Nurse-Family Partnership
- Prime for Life – Women of Colors
- Mental Health and Children – Dr. Kai
- Infant CPR – Covenant HealthCare
- Importance of Routine – MSU-Extension
Expectant parents, parents with babies up to 1-year-old, grandparents, and other caregivers: Free Registration
Childcare professionals: $10
*Professionals will receive a certificate upon completion of the sessions
