Holiday Wreath Raffle

The Women’s Council of Realtors is having their 15th Annual Holiday Wreath Raffle, Wednesday, November 16th at the Horizons Conference Center. The event will be held from 5:30pm - 8:30pm.

Come and see over 40 beautiful wreaths, trees and swags to be raffled at 7pm. Enjoy hors d’ouvres and a cash bar while you are admiring the beautiful wreaths. Admission is $20 and raffle tickets are 6 for $5 or $1 each. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the CAN Council Great Lakes Bay Region.

Our CASA program is honored to announce that we have been awarded two grants from the National CASA Association for Expansion and Capacity Building.

The first order of business is to hire a full-time CASA Volunteer Supervisor. If you are you have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice or related studies and/or have a minimum of 3 years of work related experience. If you are knowledgeable about our child welfare system and believe that you can make a difference in their lives, read on! After you review the job description, please send your resume to 1311 N. A picture is worth a 1,000,000 words in this case. This Children See, Children Do video illustrates the importance of what we as adults do when children are watching.

This is the first Television and Cinema Commercial released by NAP CAN through Child Friendly Australia. Produced with the generous and creative support of our Business Children’s Champion, DDB this campaign challenges every adult to exhibit only positive behaviour to children.

The Saginaw Bay Orchestra has added another show for the band, Arrival (ABBA remake band) who will be performing on Sunday, May 9^th at 3pm at the Temple Theatre. Here is the exciting part:

For every ticket that is ordered beginning today AND THE CALLER MENTIONS THE CAN COUNCIL, we will receive $5.00 per ticket!

So, please send this poster and this information to all your friends, family, neighbors, etc. This promises to be a great concert and what a great way to celebrate with Mom!
