Mandated Reporting

This two-hour workshop was developed to help professionals who are classified as mandated reporters learn about their role in identifying and reporting child abuse and neglect. Attendees will receive updates on current Child Protection Laws and their responsibility under those laws, learn to identify signs that indicate child abuse or neglect, and learn the process for reporting abuse and neglect.

The workshop is available year-round to professionals who work with children, as well as to all Saginaw County and Bay County residents.

Stewards of Children

By educating adults about the steps they can take to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse, this two-hour workshop raises awareness of the prevalence and consequences of child sexual abuse. The Stewards of Children program incorporates survivor stories, expert advice and practical guidance for protecting children. Participants will learn evidence-informed prevention solutions, acquire new skills and understand their individual commitment to our community.

Baby Basics

Baby Basics is an hourlong workshop to teach childcare professionals and community members how to reduce preventable infant mortality. This workshop focuses on prevention of shaken baby syndrome/abusive head trauma, as well as on and safe sleep practices.
